The striking black verticals of this unique bamboo is found throughout our gardens. The graceful and hardy Fountain Bamboo grows upright green canes that change to purplish-black over time and arch at the tips. Evergreen, clump-forming, and non-invasive, Black Pearl tolerates shade well and works beautifully in a sheltered garden or a well-watered pot. Hardy to well below freezing. Can reach over 12 feet in time. Our plants are large, well-established, and ready to go straight in the ground — or to split for multiple plantings.
